I move that leave be given to introduce "A Bill to continue and amend the Defence Forces (Temporary Provisions) Acts, 1923 and 1924." This Bill will be on somewhat similar lines to the measure that was introduced last year. There is very little change to be made. It is thought desirable that we should not proceed with the permanent measure now, as it will require a good deal of consideration during the year. We hope to have the permanent measure ready before this Bill expires.
