I am sure the Dáil has learned with deepest regret of the death, which took place yesterday, after a long and strenuous career, of Senator Dr. George Sigerson. Dr. Sigerson was a very distinguished member of the Oireachtas. His contributions to Irish literature, to medical science and to social reform are too well known to need any reference. I am sure I am voicing the opinion of the Dáil in asking you, A Chinn Comhairle, to convey to Dr. Sigerson's relatives the deep sympathy of the Dáil in their bereavement.
