Vol. 10 No. 14

CEISTEANNA—QUESTIONS. ORAL ANSWERS. - ORDNANCE SURVEY DEPARTMENT.

asked the Minister for Finance if he is aware of the discontent prevailing amongst the staff of the Ordnance Survey, and if he can state when it is intended to apply a scheme of reorganisation to that Department of the service.

forFINANCE (Mr. Blythe): I am aware that there is discontent amongst the staff of the Ordnance Survey Department. Some delay in preparing a scheme of reorganisation has arisen in connection with questions affecting the working of the Department, which are the subject of an inquiry by a committee. The necessary investigations into the circumstances of the staff are, however, now proceeding, and when these are completed the future organisation of the Department will be decided upon.
