Vol. 10 No. 22

CEISTEANNA—QUESTIONS. ORAL ANSWERS. - REINSTATEMENT OF POSTMAN.

EAMON O DUBHGHAILL

asked the President if he will state when Mr. John Lee, auxiliary postman, Thomas-town, whose case was considered by the Special Advisory Committee dealing with the cases of public servants arrested and interned, will be reinstated in his position in the Post Office.

Following the report of the Executive Council of the Advisory Committee on arrested and interned employees paid out of public funds, the Minister for Posts and Telegraphs has been authorised to arrange for the re-employment of Mr. John Lee in the public service if, and when, practicable. It is understood that the position which Mr. Lee formerly occupied has been abolished, but the Minister will see if alternative employment can be provided for him.
