Vol. 10 No. 22

WRITTEN ANSWERS. - CLAIM FOR COMPENSATION FOR ILL-TREATMENT.

asked the Minister for Finance whether an application has been received from Mr. P. Waldron, of Gurthaganny, Carabehey., Co. Roscommon, for compensation for ill-treatment and goods seized by enemy forces during the Anglo-Irish hostilities; whether such compensation has been refused, and, if so, what were the reasons for such refusal.

It has been ascertained by inquiry at the offices of the Compensation (Ireland) Commission that the claim referred to by the Deputy is at present under investigation and the points raised in the second part of the question do not, therefore, arise.
