Vol. 11 No. 3

WRITTEN ANSWERS. - ALLOTMENT OF PARK.

asked the Minister for Lands and Agriculture whether he has received a resolution dated January 4th, 1925, from Beamore Branch of the Back to the Land Association, requesting the Land Commission to allot a cow park to the people of the district for the feeding of cows the property of workers and small holders; whether he will state what steps have been taken to meet the demands of the people in the Beamore (Drogheda) area, and whether negotiations have been completed in respect to the estate known as Copper Hill in that area.

Mr. HOGAN

The reply to the first part of the question is in the affirmative. The Land Commission are at present negotiating for the purchase of the lands of Calliaghstown (known locally as Cooper's Hill). When the lands are acquired the suggestion as to the provision of a "cow park" will be considered by the Commissioners.
