Vol. 11 No. 8

WRITTEN ANSWERS. - DIVISION OF CO. MEATH ESTATE.

asked the Minister for Lands and Agriculture whether the Land Commission have negotiations in respect of the estate of Waller, Allinstown, Kells, Co. Meath; and, if so, whether the workmen on the estate who are about to lose their employment will receive preference when the lands are being divided.

Mr. HOGAN

The lands referred to have been inspected, and the Land Commission are taking steps with a view to their acquisition. At the present stage of the proceedings it is not possible to say when the lands may be vested in the Land Commission. The claims of workmen on the estate will receive full consideration in any division of the lands.
