Vol. 11 No. 10

CEISTEANNA—QUESTIONS. ORAL ANSWERS. - SECONDARY TEACHERS' INCREMENT GRANTS.

asked the Minister for Education if he is aware of the dissatisfaction amongst lay secondary teachers at the delay in paying them their shares of increment grant due as on 31st January, 1925, and if he will now take steps to ensure that this grant is paid to the teachers forthwith.

These payments are being made as rapidly as possible, orders to the amount of upwards of £12,000 having been issued to teachers during the first days of the present week, in addition to payments previously made. No avoidable delay will arise in dealing with the payments still outstanding.
