Vol. 11 No. 20

CEISTEANNA—QUESTIONS. ORAL ANSWERS. - RELIEF OF DESTITUTION.

asked the President if he is aware that the Wicklow County Board of Health at their meeting on May 18th, 1925, adopted a resolution calling on the Executive Council to take steps forthwith to carry out the scheme recommended by the Committee on Reconstruction in order to relieve destitution caused through unemployment, and whether he has anything further to add on this matter.

I am making inquiries as to the resolution referred to. As the Deputy is no doubt aware, the policy of the Government in the Budget and otherwise has been consistently directed towards the development of the commerce and industry of the country on constructive lines.
