Vol. 13 No. 12

WRITTEN ANSWERS. - SCHOOL ATTENDANCE OFFICERS.

TOMAS MAC EOIN

asked the Minister for Local Government and Public Health if he will furnish a statement of the number, salaries, and length of service of School Attendance Officers, distinguishing between full-time and part-time officers, in the employment of local authorities.

As School Attendance Officers are not officers of Councils but of School Attendance Committees I regret I am not in a position to give the information asked for. I have, however, communicated with the Department of Education on the subject. I understand they are having the required details complied and that they will furnish the Deputy with the statement at the earliest possible moment.
