Vol. 13 No. 12

WRITTEN ANSWERS. - CLARE OLD AGE PENSION CLAIM.

asked the Minister for Local Government and Public Health if he will state the reasons why his Department withholds an old age pension from Thomas O'Gorman, Carnskey, Kilmurray, McMahon, Co. Clare.

This claim to the pension under the Blind Persons Act was disallowed on the 11th July last on the ground that the claimant did not fulfil the statutory condition of blindness. Furthermore, it was held on the evidence submitted that the claimant had not then attained the age of 70 years, and was therefore, inteligible for the old age pension.
