Vol. 13 No. 17

CEISTEANNA—QUESTIONS. ORAL ANSWERS. - CLOWNMORE (WESTMEATH) WATER SUPPLY.

SEAN O LAIDHIN

asked the Minister for Local Government and Public Health if he received a letter dated November 9th, 1925, from Mr. B. Rabbitt, Irishtown, Mullingar, pump contractor, complaining that a tender submitted by him amounting to £70 for the sinking of two pumps in Clownmore to supply water to sixteen families was rejected by the Westmeath Board of Health, and alleging that the Board has extended the water supply from the town of Mullingar to Clownmore at a cost of £280, and if he will state what action, if any, he intends to take in the matter.

The answer to the first part of the question is in the affirmative. The complainant has been informed that the matter is one for the discretion of the sanitary authority.
