Vol. 14 No. 3

WRITTEN ANSWERS. - REFUSED ARMY PENSION.

DOMHNALL O MUIRGHEASA

asked the Minister for Defence if he will state on what grounds an application for a pension under the Army Pensions Act, 1924, made by Mr. Samuel Ryan, Bishopswood, Dundrum. Co. Tipperary, was refused.

Mr. Ryan's application has been referred to the Board of Assessors, who exclusively will determine his service for pension purposes. The Board has not yet reported to me on his case. No decision has, therefore been taken as to grant of a pension to him. I understand, however, that the Board have requested him to furnish any fresh evidence he may be able to offer in support of his application.
