Vol. 14 No. 4

WRITTEN ANSWERS. - UNEMPLOYMENT INSURANCE (NEWBRIDGE).

asked the Minister for Industry and Commerce whether he is aware that James Geeves, of Patrick Street, Newbridge, Serial No. 766, Newbridge Branch Office, has been signing the Unemployment Insurance Register for the past seven or eight weeks without receiving benefit and whether he will expedite payment.

On a claim made at Droichead Nua on the 15th October last James Geeves had received benefit for 44 days up to the 9th December, when it became necessary to suspend further payment pending investigation of his title to receive benefit. The inquiries which had to be made are not yet completed, and further benefit cannot be paid pending the reconsideration of the claim as a result of the investigation.
