Vol. 14 No. 4

WRITTEN ANSWERS. - NEWBRIDGE OLD AGE PENSION ARREARS.

asked the Minister for Local Government and Public Health whether he is aware that Mrs. Alice Cash, Old Age Pensions Register No. 2242, of Roseberry Commons, Newbridge, Co. Kildare, was awarded a pension of 4/- per week as from October 1st, 1925, to be increased to 9/- per week when her total means would be reduced to 7/- per week, or £18 5s. per year; that Mrs. Cash did not receive any payment from October 1st, 1925, until January 23rd, 1926, when she received the full pension of 9s. and whether he will have inquiries made with a view to having the arrears of 4s. per week from the 1st October last paid forthwith.

I have caused inquiries to be made in this case, and I am informed that all arrears of old age pension due to Mrs. Alice Cash were paid to her on the 26th ultimo.
