Vol. 14 No. 4

WRITTEN ANSWERS. - AN OUTSTANDING LONGFORD ACCOUNT.

asked the Minister for Defence if he has received a claim for £300 15s. 2d. from Mr. Thomas McGeeney, Market Square, Longford, and if he will state when it is expected that this outstanding account will be settled.

Mr. McGeeney's accounts against Army funds appear to have been settled. A claim for £294 1s. 0d. made by him was, however, found to be a matter for assessment under Section 5 of the Indemnity Act, 1924, and was accordingly transmitted to the Claims Committee (Indemnity Act, 1924), Department of Finance, who, I understand, have it under consideration.
