Vol. 14 No. 14

WRITTEN ANSWERS. - R.I.C. PENSION CLAIM.

asked the Minister for Finance if he will state the reasons for his refusal to award a pension to Hugh Creedon, Rossmore, Macroom, an ex-member of the R.I.C., and whether he will reconsider the case?

I am not satisfied on the evidence placed before me that Mr. Creedon's resignation from the Royal Irish Constabulary was caused by his national sympathies and I have, therefore, felt unable to issue the certificate required by Section 5 of the Superannuation and Pensions Act, 1923, which would render him eligible for an award of pension.
