asked the Minister for Education if he will state the number of registered secondary teachers, now employed in secondary schools working under his Department, who fall into the following age groups: 21-30, 31-40, 41-50, 51-60, 61-70, 71 and above; whether he will state the number of teachers of each sex in each group, and the number who are (a) in Holy Orders, (b) members of teaching orders or communities and not in Holy Orders, (c) not in (a) or (b); and if he will state the average age and average length of registered teaching service of the teachers in each subdivision.

NOTES.—The Age has been taken as on March 1st, 1926, and the Teaching Service up to July 31st, 1925. Service rendered before the age of 21 years has not been taken into account.
No teaching Service has been registered in the case of 22 of the Teachers included in the return because either they are registered provisionally or did not apply to have their Service registered. These Teachers have been disregarded in calculating the Average length of Teaching Service.
