Vol. 15 No. 1

WRITTEN ANSWERS. - SOLDIER'S PAY ARREARS.

asked the Minister for Defence if he can state whether a claim has been received by his Department from John Carroll, lately a tailor in the National Army, for arrears of grade money payable to him under Defence Order No. 34, and, if this claim is in order, whether he will expedite payment of same.

A claim has been received from Mr. Carroll for arrears of additional pay as a tailor in respect of the period from the 15th March, 1924, to the 5th January, 1925, and has been disallowed on the ground that the applicant was not employed as a tailor during the period in question.
