Vol. 15 No. 1

WRITTEN ANSWERS. - SEIZED GUNS (WESTMEATH).

asked the Minister for Defence if he can state whether a D.B.B.L. gun, made by Bentley, London, the property of Mr. Christopher Fox, Glascorn, Ballina, Mullingar, has been traced, and, if not, whether Mr. Fox will receive compensation for same.

Mr. Fox's gun cannot be traced in this Department. He is being requested to furnish full particulars as to the surrender of the gun in order to enable further enquiries to be made.

asked the Minister for Defence if he can state what is the position in connection with a claim made by Patrick Kilmurray, Mullingar, for £30 in respect of a D.B. sporting gun taken from him by the R.I.C. in November, 1920, for which claimant holds a receipt, and which cannot be traced.

Mr. Kilmurray's claim has been complicated by a discrepancy between the descriptions of the gun as furnished by him when applying for its return and when applying for compensation. The claim is at present under consideration by the Home Office, London.
