Vol. 15 No. 9

CEISTEANNA—QUESTIONS. ORAL ANSWERS. - LLOYD ESTATE (TIPPERARY).

asked the Minister for Lands and Agriculture if representations have been made to the Land Commission in regard to the acquisition for division of the Lloyd Estate, Killough, Templemore; if any promises were made to the surrounding small-holders in regard to the division of this estate; if he is aware that the lands have been sold recently by private treaty, and if he will take steps to have the lands acquired for division.

Representations were made to the Commissioners to acquire the lands of Killough held by Mrs. Lloyd.

It was ascertained that Mrs. Lloyd sold to a Bartholomew Burke the lands of Killough, Clontaaffe, Skehanagh South and Farranacahill, containing in all about 265 acres.

An offer has recently been issued to Bartholomew Burke for the purchase of these lands.

Mrs. Lloyd also sold an area of 31 acres to a Michael Davey. The Commissioners do not propose to take any action as regards this portion.
