CEISTEANNA—QUESTIONS. ORAL ANSWERS. - BILLISTOWN LANDS (WESTMEATH).

asked the Minister for Lands and Agriculture if it is the intention of the Land Commission to acquire the lands of Billistown, barony of Delvin, county of Westmeath, belonging to the Marquis de la Bedoraye, who, it is stated, is anxious to sell, and, if so, if one of the inspectors of the Commission will inspect and report as to the suitability of these lands for distribution.

The lands referred to comprise a holding of 205 acres in the townland of Billistown occupied by the Marquis de la Bedoraye, as tenant on the estate of B. K. F. Tighe, Westmeath, which is being dealt with by the Land Commission under the Land Act, 1923. The holding referred to has been included in a list published on the 2nd ultimo of holdings which will be retained by the Land Commission on the appointed day and will be dealt with in accordance with the provisions of Section 29 of the Land Act.
