CEISTEANNA—QUESTIONS. ORAL ANSWERS. - MILITARY SERVICE PENSIONS.

asked the Minister for Defence whether he will state the number of claims for military service pensions to date (a) awarded and paid, (b) awarded and not yet paid, (c) under consideration, and (d) rejected.

The figures desired by the Deputy are as follows:—

(a) Claims for military service pensions awarded and being paid

(b) Awarded and not yet paid but about to be paid

By the word "awarded" is meant that certificates of military service under the Military Service Pensions Act. 1924, have been issued.

(c) Claims under consideration by Department of Defence, the Board of Assessors having reported service for pension purposes
