Vol. 16 No. 6

WRITTEN ANSWERS. - CO. KILDARE OLD AGE PENSION CLAIM.

asked the Minister for Local Government and Public Health whether he is aware that an old age pension of one shilling per week was awarded to Mrs. Anne Partridge, McGlynn's Cottages, Brownstown, Curragh Camp, and if he will state how the Pensions Officer calculated the yearly means of the claimant.

A pension of one shilling a week was allowed on appeal on the 6th ultimo in this case. The means were: Husband's unemployment benefit, £52; Army pension, £22 16s. 8d.; total, £74 16s. 8d., of which a moiety counts as the claimant's for old age pension purposes.
