Vol. 16 No. 6

WRITTEN ANSWERS. - ALLOTMENT OF LONGFORD ESTATES.

asked the Minister for Lands and Agriculture if he will state the cause of the delay by the Land Commission in dealing with the following estates in County Longford, which have been inspected and valued for a considerable time back, viz.:— The MacKay Wilson Estate, Currygrane and Garvagh, Ballinalee, and the Fowler Estate, situated at Kilshrewley, Ballinalee, and, further, if he can state when those lands will be allotted.

Mr. HOGAN

The Land Commission have made an offer for the purchase of the lands of Kilshruley and Knockmoody on the estate of T.J. Fowler, which has been accepted, and arrangements will be made as soon as possible for the division of the lands.

The Land Commission have instituted proceedings for the acquisition of the untenanted lands on the estate of J. MacKay Wilson, County Longford, under the provisions of the Land Act, 1923, and are about to issue an offer for the purchase of the lands.
