Vol. 16 No. 13

IN COMMITTEE ON FINANCE. - VOTE 12—STATE LABORATORY.

I move:—

Go ndeontar suim ná raghaidh thar £4,656 chun slánaithe na suime is gá chun íoctha an Mhuirir a thiocfidh chun bheith iníoctha i rith na bliana dar críoch an 31adh lá de Mhárta, 1927, chun Tuarastail agus Costaisí na Saotharlainne Stáit.

That a sum not exceeding £4,656 be granted to complete the sum necessary to defray the Charge which will come in course of payment during the year ending on the 31st day of March, 1927, for the Salaries and Expenses of the State Laboratory.

There is a slight decrease in the sub-head for salaries, wages and allowances, and that is accounted for by the fact that the work under the Dairy Produce Act will no longer be done by the State Laboratory but by the Department of Agriculture. The increase in the sub-head for apparatus and chemical equipment is due to the fact that certain material, belonging to the College of Science, will be transferred to University College, Dublin, and will no longer be available for the State Laboratory.

Motion put and agreed to.
