I beg to move:—
Go ndeontar suim ná raghaidh thar £5,635 chun slánaithe na suime is gá chun íoctha an Mhuirir a thiocfidh chun bheith iníoctha i rith na bliana dar críoch an 31adh lá de Mhárta, 1927, chun íocaíochtanna i dtaobh Coimisiún na Stát-Sheirbhíse (Acht Rialuithe na Stát-Sheirbhíse, 1924).
That a sum not exceeding £5,635 be granted to complete the sum necessary to defray the Charge which will come in course of payment during the year ending on the 31st day of March, 1927, for the Salaries and Expenses of the Civil Service Commission. (Civil Service Regulation Act, 1924).
There is an increase under sub-head A of this Vote which is due partly to increments and partly to the appointment of an executive officer who will do the work necessary because of the increase in the number of selection boards which have had to be set up. There is provision for examiners, superintendents and members of selection boards. The title of the sub-head has been extended by the words "members of selection boards" in order to enable expenses of people whom it might be thought desirable to have on selection boards to be paid. The estimate there is based on the estimate of the number of examinations and the amount required to be paid.
