Vol. 16 No. 15

CEISTEANNA—QUESTIONS. ORAL ANSWERS. - DUNDON ESTATE (CLARE).

asked the Minister for Lands and Agriculture if the Land Commission has acquired the Dundon Estate, Cappa Lodge, Six-Mile-Bridge, Co. Clare, for distribution; if a scheme of distribution was submitted to the Land Commission by the citizens of the area converging on that estate; if that scheme was considered by the Commission, and whether it was approved or rejected, and whether a scheme has been prepared by the Commission, and, if so, if he will state how soon that estate will be divided according to that scheme.

Untenanted lands, comprising an area of 336 acres 1 rood 32 perches in the Dundon Estate, Co. Clare, have been acquired by the Land Commission under the Land Act, 1923. On 15th April last a communication was received from a local committee, making recommendations for the division of the lands. These recommendations are being considered by the Commissioners in connection with their scheme of allotment which is being settled, and it is anticipated will be completed at an early date.

Will any of the recommendations made by the local committee be carried into effect?

Mr. HOGAN

I could not say at this stage.
