CEISTEANNA—QUESTIONS. ORAL ANSWERS. - ACQUISITION OF CO. DUBLIN LANDS.

asked the Minister for Lands and Agriculture whether the Land Commission proposes to acquire the lands of Mr. William King, Belcamp, Raheny, under the Land Act, 1923.

The Land Commission will have enquiries made as to the suitability of the lands referred to in the question for acquisition under the provisions of the Land Act, 1923.

asked the Minister for Lands and Agriculture whether the Land Commission proposes to acquire the lands of Mr. Kelly-Tighe, Rahulk, near Swords, under the Land Act, 1923.

Mr. HOGAN

The lands referred to comprise a holding of 187 acres 3 roods 38 perches, situate on the townlands of Rahulk, Greenwood and Cloghran, held by Thomas Kelly-Tighe as tenant on the estate of Major Henry C. Cusack, County Dublin. The holding will be a retained holding and will be dealt with as such when the Land Commission are dealing with the estate in its order under the Land Act, 1923.

That does not necessarily mean that they will acquire it, but they will retain it for consideration as to whether they ought to acquire it or not.
