Vol. 18 No. 5

CEISTEANNA—QUESTIONS. ORAL ANSWERS. - CURRAGH BOUNDARY ROADS.

asked the Minister for Defence whether he has received any reply to his special representation (promised on the 17th June, 1926) from the British War Department, respecting the agreement between that Department and the Grand Jury of the County Kildare, to maintain the Lurrig Lane and the Curragh eastern boundary roads, and, if so, whether he can now state the terms of the agreement.

The special representation in question had to be deferred until a general arrangement could be made for obtaining from the British War Department agreements relating to military lands in the Saorstát. An arrangement has been arrived at. The agreement relating to the roads mentioned by the Deputy has not yet, however, been received. A special application is now being made for it. I will communicate with the Deputy as to its terms with as little further delay as possible.
