Vol. 18 No. 6

CEISTEANNA—QUESTIONS. ORAL ANSWERS. - OFFALY CLAIM FOR PERSONAL INJURIES.

asked the Minister for Finance if, and when, a claim for personal injuries was received from Mr. Denis Dunne, Rathcobican, Rhode, Edenderry, Offaly: whether same was submitted to the Committee set up by his Department to deal with such claims, and what amount, if any, can be allowed to the applicant.

An application was submitted to my Department in January, 1925, on behalf of the person named in the question. The application was, however, received too late for consideration by the Compensation (Personal Injuries) Committee and the claimant was informed accordingly. The Committee has long since ceased to function, and applications for compensation in respect of personal injuries cannot now be entertained.
