CEISTEANNA—QUESTIONS. ORAL ANSWERS. - MAINTENANCE OF EMBANKMENTS.

asked the Minister for Lands and Agriculture if he can state the total amount expended from 1st April, 1916, to 31st March, 1926, on the repair and maintenance of embankments and the drains connected therewith in each of the Counties of Clare, Limerick, Kerry, Kilkenny and Waterford, the amount to include the expenditure from (a) Income of Trust Funds provided on the sale of estates under the Land Acts; (b) from the capital of such Trust Funds; (c) from money provided by the vendors of estates for immediate expenditure on embankments work; (d) from moneys provided by his Department, and (e) from Reconstruction Funds; and whether he can also state the capital value of the Trust Funds for each of the counties mentioned.

The amount expended from 1st April, 1916, to 31st March, 1926, on the repair and maintenance of embankments and the drains connected therewith in each of the counties named under the various sub-heads in question is as follows:—
