CEISTEANNA—QUESTIONS. ORAL ANSWERS. - LAND DIVISION IN LEIX.

asked the Minister for Lands and Agriculture if he can state when the lands of R.H. White, Aghaboe, Leix, will be divided, or what is the cause of the delay in having the division scheme approved.

Proceedings have been instituted by the Land Commission for the purchase of the estate of R.H. White, Aghaboe, Leix, under the provisions of the Land Act, 1923. The matter is being dealt with as expeditiously as possible, and it is anticipated that the lands will be divided at an early date.

Could the Minister say how many visits have to be made to an estate before it can be divided?

I think the Deputy will have to wait until the Minister for Lands and Agriculture is present to answer that question.

asked the Minister for Lands and Agriculture if he will state when it is hoped to sanction a scheme for the division of the Kilkelly estate, Ballickmoyler, Leix, and when the lands referred to will be divided.

Proceedings have been instituted for the acquisition of the Kilkelly estate, Ballickmoyler, Leix, under the provisions of the Land Act, 1923, and the price has been fixed. The matter is being dealt with as expeditiously as possible, and it is anticipated that the lands will be divided at an early date.
