PUBLIC BUSINESS. - CIVIC GUARD (ACQUISITION OF PREMISES) (AMENDMENT) BILL, 1927—FIRST STAGE.

I move for leave to introduce a Bill entitled an Act to extend further the time during which certain powers conferred on the Commissioners of Public Works in Ireland by the Civic Guard (Acquisition of Premises) Act, 1923, may be exercised. The main object of the Bill is to extend the period during which the powers under the 1923 Act may be exercised for another year.

Leave granted.
Second Stage fixed for Friday, 6th May.
