Vol. 20 No. 7

CEISTEANNA—QUESTIONS. ORAL ANSWERS. - RETIRED CIVIL SERVANTS' BENEFITS.

asked the Minister for Finance if he will state when civil servants who retired under the Treaty will receive the benefits they are entitled to under the Wigg and Cochrane Report, and if he will state the number to benefit.

As indicated in my reply of the 29th ultimo to a question in regard to the treatment of applications for compensation under Article 10 of the Treaty, the action to be taken following the conclusion of the recent legal proceedings, which involves a number of questions of far-reaching importance, is under consideration, and there will be no avoidable delay in the matter.

I am not in a position to state the number of applications that may be affected by the decision to be taken in consequence of the legal proceedings referred to.
