Vol. 20 No. 19

CEISTEANNA—QUESTIONS. ORAL ANSWERS. - ARMY PENSION CLAIM (CO. KILDARE).

asked the Minister for Defence whether he is aware that Mrs. Mary Carroll, of Killeenmore Lodge, Kill, Straffan, County Kildare, was entirely dependent on her son, Private George Carroll, No. 59404, Army Medical Corps, who died from disease contracted during his Army service, shortly after his discharge on the 8th May, 1925, and whether he will award a pension or gratuity to Mrs. Carroll.

I am not aware of the circumstances of Mrs. Carroll as no claim has been submitted by her in respect of the death of her son, Private George Carroll. If Mrs. Carroll will furnish details setting out the period and circumstances in which her deceased son incurred the disease from which he died, her case will be investigated in the light of recent pension legislation and a communication will be sent to her in the matter.
