Vol. 22 No. 5

CEISTEANNA—QUESTIONS. ORAL ANSWERS. - DISTRIBUTION OF BELMOUNT FARM, WEXFORD.

Mr. CORISH

asked the Minister for Fisheries if the land known as Belmount Farm, Wexford, has been taken over by the Land Commission, and, if so, what are the intentions as to its distribution; if an application has been received from Robert Jones, Coolcots, Wexford, for fifteen acres of this land, and whether it will receive favourable consideration.

Mr. RODDY

The lands referred to appear to be the lands of Newtown, comprising 106a. 1r. 21p., on the estate of Patrick Rath, which have been acquired by the Land Commission under the Land Act, 1923. The Commissioners do not propose to provide Robert Jones, Coolcots, with a parcel of land, but it is proposed to allot 15a. 1r. 25p. to Mrs. Mary Jones, of Coolcots, the owner of a small holding in the vicinity.
