Vol. 25 No. 1

CEISTEANNA—QUESTIONS. ORAL ANSWERS. - COTTAGE HOSPITAL FOR DUNMANWAY.

asked the Minister for Local Government and Public Health whether his Department will now consider acceding to the demand of the West Cork Board of Assistance for the erection of a suitable cottage hospital at Dunmanway, where the existing hospital is in a ruinous condition.

I would refer the Deputy to my reply of the 27th October last to him on this subject. Hospitals are at present in course of erection at Skibbereen and Clonakilty, and a new hospital has been erected at Bantry. Dunmanway appears to be equidistant from each of those centres. Until these hospitals are fully established the permanent requirements of the Dunmanway centre cannot be estimated.
