asked the Minister for Finance what decision has been reached in regard to the repayment of subscriptions to the Dáil Eireann Loan received from and in the name of Sinn Féin Cumainn or similar organisations.

In any case in which particulars are recorded in my Department of a subscription paid to the Dáil Eireann Internal Loan in the name of a Sinn Féin Club or similar organisations it has been decided to authorise repayment to the trustees provided such trustees make an application in writing and comply with the prescribed conditions.
In any case in which application for repayment is made, but in which there is no record in my Department of the subscription, the application will be considered on its merits in the light of such evidence as may be available.
