CEISTEANNA—QUESTIONS. ORAL ANSWERS. - FEES ON STOCK EXCHANGE TRANSACTIONS.

asked the Minister for Finance whether he can state the annual yield of the stamp and fee taxes charged on Stock Exchange transactions in the Saorstát; and how much of the total amount in each financial year is transferred to the British Revenue.

The yield from stamp duty chargeable on Stock Exchange transactions for the financial year 1927-28 was £109,977. No part of the revenue received from this duty is transferred to the British Exchequer.
