Vol. 28 No. 13

Ceisteanna—Questions. Oral Answers. - Acquisition of Castlebar Holding.

asked the Minister for Lands and Fisheries if he will state whether there is at present any possibility of having Mr. William Fahey, Glanisland, Castlebar (Palmer estate), transferred from his present holding to the midlands, with a view to accommodating the small farmers who require an addition of land in this locality.

The Land Commission are taking steps to acquire the holdings of Mr. Wm. Fahey, Glanisland, Castlebar, situated on the estate of Sir R. Palmer (C.D.B. 35, Mayo), but it is not possible at present to say when this can be effected.

That reply is about equal to a written answer I got a year ago in connection with the same individual. It seems to take a long time to fit the matter up for him.
