Vol. 30 No. 12

Ceisteanna—Questions. Oral Answers. - Logan Estate (Westmeath).

asked the Minister for Lands and Fisheries if he will state what action, if any, the Irish Land Commission proposes to take with regard to the acquiring of the Logan estate, situated at Cloonagh, Ballinagore, Co. Westmeath.

The Land Commission have had inquiries made regarding these lands, and have decided to take no further action regarding their acquisition for the present.

On what grounds have they decided not to take further action?

It is in the discretion of the Commissioners. I do not know exactly on what grounds they made up their minds.

Will the Minister consider the advisability of giving a holiday to the Commissioners in Westmeath?

They are taking it themselves.
