asked the Minister for Lands and Fisheries if he will state the total amount of arrears outstanding in respect of fishery loans, the number of such loans, and also the number and amount of loans granted during the year 1928-9.
Written Answers. - Fishery Loans.
The total amount of arrears due at 31st March, 1929, on fishery loans advanced by the State was £120,001 1s. 4d. The number of loan accounts in collection at that date was 1,555. The Department granted 180 loans during the financial year 1928-9, the amount advanced being £5,060, 1s. 9d.
