Ceisteanna—Questions. Oral Answers. - Compensation for Extinguished Licences (Kerry).

asked the Minister for Justice whether he will state the amount he intends ear-marking for the county of Kerry under the heading "Compensation Funds established under the Intoxicating Liquor Act," and whether he will state the names of the owners of licensed premises in Kerry in respect of which this amount has been, or is to be, allocated.

The amount awarded by the compensation authority for compensation in respect of licences in County Kerry which, under the provisions of the Intoxicating Liquor Act, 1927, will cease to exist on 30th September next, is £1,187 10s. Od. The names of the holders of the abolished licences and the amounts (not reckoning shillings and pence) awarded in each case are as follows:—James T. Flavin, 119 Rock Street, Tralee (£206); Nora Keane, William Street, Listowel (£38); Patrick Corridon (Lessor), Main Street, Listowel (£83); Julia A. O'Sullivan, Church Street, Cahirciveen (£351); Edward Wren, High Street, Killarney (£197); Maurice Downing, Henry Street, Kenmare (£119); John M. O'Connor, Holyground, Dingle (£191).
