asked the Minister for Lands and Fisheries whether he will state the number of estates, vested under the 1923-1927 Land Acts, their acreage, purchase price, and the number of tenants thereon, from January 1st, 1929, to June 30th, 1929.

As regards tenanted land vested under the Land Acts, 1923-27, during the period of six months from 1st January, 1929, to 30th June, 1929, 190 estates were vested, comprising 2,008 holdings and a total area of 66,495 acres, and representing a total purchase price of £530,912; and the Land Commission also have vested during the same period 90,137 acres in 2,977 purchasers on estates which are being sold under the Irish Land Acts, 1903-9 for a total purchase price of £419,666. As regards untenanted land and other advances under the Land Acts, 1923-7 during the same period, a total purchase price of £392,657 was advanced in respect of 121 estates and a total area of 35,732 acres. The total amount of Land Bonds issued under the Land Acts, 1923-7, during the period referred to was £923,569.
