Vol. 31 No. 4

Ceisteanna—Questions. Oral Answers. - Purchase of Headford Estate.

Tomás Mac Giolla Phóil

asked the Minister for Lands and Fisheries whether, in view of the acute congestion existing in the neighbourhood, it is the intention of the Irish Land Commission to take over and distribute to the Commission's tenants the lands on the estate known as The Miss Anne Lydon estate, Cordarragh, Headford; and, if so, what progress has been made in that direction.

The lands referred to appear to be 52 acres of the lands of Cordarragh, Poor Law Valuation £18 12s. Od., occupied by Mrs. Maria Ward. The Land Commission do not propose to take any action at present regarding the acquisition of these lands.
