Vol. 32 No. 6

Ceisteanna—Questions. Oral Answers. - Belgium and European Tariff Holiday.

Mr. Byrne

asked the Minister for External Affairs whether he can inform the House if Belgium was one of the signatories at Geneva to the economic proposal for a two years' European tariff holiday.

No international agreement has yet been reached in the matter of the proposed tariff truce, but Belgium was one of the States which was closely associated with the proposal for a tariff truce recently made at Geneva.
