Ceisteanna—Questions. Oral Answers. - Dublin Corporation Relief and Housing Grants.

asked the Minister for Local Government and Public Health if he will state what grants and the amount of such grants were received by the Dublin Corporation for the relief of distress or unemployment for the year 1928, and for the first nine months of 1929; and further, the total amount due and paid to the Dublin Corporation towards housing for the year 1929 to date.

Payments of £13,000 on 16th March, 1928, and £7,000 on 29th March, 1928, were made to the Dublin Corporation out of the Relief Grants Vote of £150,000 of November, 1927. No payments of the nature mentioned in the first part of the question were made in 1929. As regards the second part of the question the amount due and paid to the Dublin Corporation was £5,000.
