John Doyle, of Woodlands, Ballycarney, Ferns, claimed unemployment benefit on the 26th of November, 1928, and his claim was disallowed on the ground that he was not unemployed. From this decision the claimant appealed and the case went to the umpire who finally decided that benefit could not be allowed. It, subsequently, transpired, however, that the employment in respect of which the contributions to Mr. Doyle's credit were paid was not insurable at all. He, thereupon, asked for the return of his contributions and these will be refunded to him at an early date.
