Vol. 33 No. 10

Ceisteanna—Questions. Oral Answers. - Division of Norriss Estate (Co. Tipperary).

(Tipperary) asked the Minister for Lands and Fisheries whether he will state the cause of delay in the division of the Norriss Estate, Traverstown, Nenagh, County Tipperary, considering the Land Commission has acquired it for over two years; and if the Land Commission will now take steps to speed up the division of the above estate amongst the uneconomic and landless people of that area.

The Land Commission have made arrangements for the preparation of a scheme for the division of the lands on the Norriss Estate at Traverstown, Nenagh, and the matter is being expedited as much as possible.

Mr. Sheehy

Could the Parliamentary Secretary give any information as to when the scheme is likely to be put into operation?

Mr. Sheehy

Is it not a fact that these lands have been set?

No. A scheme is being prepared, but the letting has not expired.
